Can someone advise and guide me with the best practice? because to begin with I have these questions.1. Tape library Data Storage, Backup & Recovery.Every other file is off limits though.Īny ideas? I'm a bit at a loss on this one. I created a new document in Publisher yesterday and can open it just fine today. unless you want to start everything from scratch. The PC in question worked fine the day before and when the user came in the next morning Publisher forgot how to be Publisher. Nothing different about storage location or file permissions. Tried copying contents of a pub file and pasting into a new pub file and nada. Tried copying files from one machine to another and putting it on desktop, nada. Opening Publisher in Safe Mode has no effect, removing and reinstalling Office 365 completely has no effect, adding PromptForBadFiles subkey to registry has no effect. Oddly, these files all open without issue on every other machine in the office. ALL previous Publisher files are greeted with the "Cannot Open File" warning and 1100009 error. pub files other than those I create and save that day. As of yesterday, there are three machines including two of my own that can no longer open any. I have a client that uses MS Publisher to create their weekly bulletins.
